[ Since Genos sight got a bit better, he managed to narrowly finish the gift... or not so much. In the vein of do it yourself, he tried to make a scarf, but failed horribly. Either because of temporary blindness, or because he just fails at making scarfs.
So he quickly bought an actual real scarf - in hideous neon green color, covered in black and white derpastic cats, because hey, still not seeing well, it seemed yellow - and had them both packed into a neat wrapping.
Then he hides it around the room, addressed to Saitama, waiting for a good opportunity to hand the gift. Or have it found by accident. ]
[Saitama had been planning on staying home all day but he had almost forgot to pick up Genos' present, so he had dashed out under the guise of getting a 2nd cake (since they had already bought one, but "What if one of us wants chocolate??").
He returns, holding a cake in one hand, but trying to hide the gift behind his back. It was harder to pretend he wasn't hiding something since the package seemed to be dripping glitter...]
I'm home...!
[He called out while kicking off his shoes, wondering how he's gonna get his coat off while hiding a gift.]
[ He won't have to, because Saitama leaving is a good chance for Genos to gather his gift, and hold it somewhere close and hidden. Notably under the blanket he sits right next to. If Saitama happens to fall asleep, he will be able to place it in clever way he will find it upon waiting up.
Or if the good occasion arises, he might just hand it himself. ]
[He's so concerned with his gift he doesn't suspect Genos of hiding one. He just sort of stands at the entrance awkwardly, turned slightly so his back is almost against the wall, the gift between him and it.]
Oh, uh, yeah! But I can make it, you should still be resting.
[Maybe he can hide the gift under the sink or in the fridge...]
I'm getting better, so I assume I don't need as much rest.
[ He narrows his eyes, as if it would help sharpening the field of vision. ]
Besides, making tea is pretty easy. As long as there is no wide choice of said tea.
[ Since reading is still out of question. He's very careful around kitchen, and makes sure his grip is secured on the cup or box before moving it. Slower deliberate movement is kind of annoying, but it also reminds him of the time when he was starting to learn how to use his body for first time. ]
[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Saitama via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]
Dear, Mr. Saitama -
We have not spoken before, but my name is Petyr Baelish. I serve as the ambassador for Maurtia Falls. I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.
For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished to have imPorts come in and read to the much younger generation. I believe it would be a great way to strengthen the native and imPort bond.
I thank you for your time, and I do hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely, Ambassador Petyr Baelish
[ OOC: You can feel free to just respond to this OOCly if he would donate anything or not! ]
[There's two unfortunate things about the letter being delivered to Saitama. 1) He can't read cursive that well and 2) he has a very limited attention span and this was just Too Much. However, he does concede to find this guy's contact info and send a text:]
[ Gosh! These people and their reading comprehension. Baelish assumes most people chuck the letter because of it. But this guy gets credit for responding. ]
I apologize. I can often be a bit long-winded and thought it best to explain the project in full to generate interest. The general idea is that I'm building a library and hoped for some aid.

[ Having school named after you, that's like getting a lot of recognition, right? Not that Genos cares about details like "actually teaching" ]

Your letter was too long.

I apologize. I can often be a bit long-winded and thought it best to explain the project in full to generate interest. The general idea is that I'm building a library and hoped for some aid.
[ Even in text, he's still long-winded. ]

There's not a library already? That's weird.
