Whole thread. . Under the cut Zenyatta's last reply.


[ He orders his oil, and yeah, it looks about as appealing as oil... does. Slimy, thick, brownish black goop. It also comes with a bright pink straw. He still observes Saitama, taking a small sip through his very small mouth port. His model style originally did need to consume oil to exercise certain higher leveled tasks, and so the processing units for the liquid are still in him... But with time, as it became unnecessary, mouth ports became smaller. Much harder to drink from. Straws help. ]

It is ... nice.

[ Something's bugging Saitama. Zenyatta knows, it isn't regret ovr his rude behavior. ]

... The Iris is not... exclusive. I believe you will find you are as welcome within the Iris as so many others.

I think I am. [He answers, sounding a bit more serious. He doesn't talk to Zenyatta like he does others, so he may not be as "subtle" now. He knows Genos suspects something of his well-being, but Genos also likes to keep things to himself--or in his notebooks. It's sort of one of the things he likes about that guy.] But I have no interest in being with the Iris.

[There's a pause as he's given his drink, and he holds it in his hands for a moment, not taking a drink yet, shaking the ice in it like a distracted kid.]

It doesn't sound bad, I'm just not the religious sort.

[Then he finally takes that drink, swallowing more than he probably should have of a drink he's never had before. His face scrunches up, nose wrinkling hard, as the burn goes up into it.]

Oof.

I did not say that the only help I could offer was religious.

[ He waits now, for Saitama's "burn" to go away. ]

But it is my goal to help all- human and omnic- find their personal truths. And through those truths, happiness.

[It goes away quickly, but he wiggles his nose a little before holding the glass back up to his mouth, no prepared for the vodka. He says over the lip of the glass, before drinking:]

What if just hanging out helps?

That is, essentially, what I meant.

[He wasn't expecting that, at all. He blinks at him from over the glass, then turns back toward the wall of bottles, seeming to think that's the safer choice to look at for the moment.]

Oh. Well, then. There we go.

[iomnic]

I already consider us friends as well, Saitama. Perhaps you do not consider me the same, but it is what I think of you as.

Hmm...

[He hums as he drinks, accidentally making some bubbles. He seems avoidant again, but at least in sort of a good way this time, as the bubbles seem to indicate at least some agreement to what Zenyatta was saying. This is just another thing he can't seem to handle. After a moment, he says:]

Uh, sorry about the trick. I wouldn't've done it if I had known all that stuff.

[iomnic]

Ah... that's right. You did play a very mean trick on me.

[ Zenyatta notes, looking off at the wall of alcohol, refusing to make eyecontact. ]

Perhaps I spoke to quickly about friendship.

H-hey! I said I was sorry, don't be so stingy!

[iomnic]

Hahahaha!

[ Zenyatta laughs, turning to face Saitama again and placing a hand over his mouth- even though there's really no "sign" he's trying to hide a smile. ]

There, now I have played a mean trick on you. We are balanced.

[What is this guy even? He stares at him for a moment, then turns back to his drink, shaking his head as if saying there was nothing to be done about Zenyatta.]

Okay, deal, we're even.

[iomnic]

[ And now, a time skip after twenty minutes or so of drinking- ]

And the sunset was so beautiful, in Nepal.

[ The mood is definitely lightened a bit, and Zenyatta is cheerful and definitely a little tipsy from his oil. His speech is affected, with unusual emphasis on various parts of words, and he even stutters a bit sometimes. ]

[Saitama feels like he isn't quite as drunk as Zenyatta, but he's definitely a lot more gregarious, smiling and chuckling more than normal. In fact, he now laughs openly at Zenyatta talking about a sunset.]

You sure about that, dude?

[iomnic]

So sure, so v-v-very sure...

[ Zenyatta continues, leaning heavily on his hand to keep himself propped upright. ]

I think you would like it there. It is. Very mountainous. You could jump across them.

I prefer walkin'!

[His chuckles turn into a drunken hum of contemplation.]

But I've never heard'of a Nepal, so it don't matter much, I guess.

[iomnic]

It is so lovely. Although the cold bothers my joints. S-s-sometimes. I will oversleep, if it is too cold out.

[ After a moment of "thought-" ]

Let us go outside.

Huh? Why?

[Then, an epiphany:]

Have we been in Nepal this whole time??

[iomnic]

No, no.

But it is cold outside. There is snow. I am feeling nostalgic. Come on.

[ And he slides out of his seat, shuffling his feet a little along the floor, before eventually beginning to hover. ]

Ah.

[Spinning around in his seat, he bounces out of it like a child and stumbles forward after Zenyatta, almost falling flat on his face before catching himself and scrambling back upright. This little mess up at least helped him catch up with Zenyatta, and he falls into step beside him.]

If ya freeze up or fall asleep out there and I gotta carry you back in ya owe me.

[iomnic]

I will not freeze up.

[ But fall asleep, maybe. ]

Yes, I will owe you. I believe I can pay you back in "allowing you to carry me." Some might consider it an honor.

Huuh? You'll pay back me carrying you by having me carry you??

[That is some confusing logic, even to someone more sober than him.]

[iomnic]

Yes.

[ He says with a laugh, and he continues to giggle even more as they finally reach outside. Yeah, it's cold, but there's a coat right nearby in the snow that Zenyatta puts on immediately. ]

[A very long, silent pause as he attempts to process this. He doesn't even notice Zenyatta putting on some mystery coat that was laying around for whatever reason.]

No, that's a shitty pay back! [He loudly complains, following wherever Zenyatta leads him. A dumb idea, really.] I want a candy bar.

[iomnic]

[ He's still laughing, because he's not made LESS giggly by drinking, certainly. ]

Fine, a candy bar. Chocolate?

With caramel.

[He adds, upping the value of this theoretical candy bar.]
